We’re heading into the studio this January to record our third studio album. This marks the first studio effort behind the current Formula 5 lineup of Joe Davis (guitar), Greg Marek (drums), James Woods (bass) and Matt Richards (keyboards), as well as the first F5 album with Woods and Richards. To get this album moving, we’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign, and we hope that you’ll support us in this endeavor.

We have toured relentlessly this year, clocking in at nearly 90 shows so far as of the day of this Kickstarter campaign begins, and we’ll have nearly 110 show under our belt by the end of 2016. We then take off all of January to head into the studio in Albany, NY with a planned release in April 2017.

Throughout the past 5 years of Formula 5, we have undergone immense growth and change, musically and as a team. With a fan base that has grown thanks to appearances at Catskill Chill, Disc Jam, Buffalove, Backwoods Pondfest, Rock n Roll Resort, and Adirondack Music Festival, all in 2016, our crowds have grown, our fans are enthusiastic about our potential, and we are confident that Formula 5’s improvisational funk jam sound will continue to find new audiences across the country. We are committed to recording an album for fans old and new, establishing our sound and returning to the road to support an effort we are proud to perform live.
